The Mule - A simple portrait of an intriguing personality!

Clint Eastwood. Bradley Cooper. These two names were enough to make me interested in the movie "The Mule". An IMDB rating of 7.1/10 was just an icing on the cake.

The movie is based on the real life story of Mr. Leo Sharp, a WWII veteran, which I came to know from the closing credits of the movie. The story talks about how a war veteran became the most successful drug mule for a drug cartel Though the movie is not a war movie, the pivot character played by Mr. Eastwood kindles the glimpses of a warrior spirit on multiple instance.

In line with his recent movies,  Eastwood portrays a lone wolf, who also seems to be a late bloomer, as clearly indicated by another character in the movie itself. Cooper's character does not have much to do in the movie, he is just a pleasant addition to the cast. Another interesting fact is that Eastwood's real-life daughter plays his movie-daughter as well here.

Verdict: Don't go with a very high expectation, it is not a highly entertaining one. But the movie is warm, you can watch it just for Eastwood's performance. And if you pay close attention, it might also be a guide to set your personal priorities straight!

Sharjah Shake - The love of my life !

Years have passed and hairs have gone, but the mystic love between I and Sharjah Shake has not faded a bit. This revelation struck me today late evening in a restaurant, when I was turning pages after pages of a big glossy menu, searching for "The" shake, though the menu was filled with numerous other varieties of shakes and drinks.

Those who have not been lucky to have heard about this shake, let me introduce you all to this exotic drink. Though the name suggests that it is an Arabic drink, the legends say that this drink was born and brought-up in Kerala. And I personally know people who contemptuously teased this drink as a mere banana milk shake, but died horrible deaths soon after. And more strangely, a banana was somehow associated with all these deaths - some of them choking on a full ripe banana, some of them hitting their head after stepping on a banana skin - and so on.

Coming back to my love story, I guess I started having feelings for Sharjah shake during my Engineering days. To be continued...

Traveller - To be or not to be!

There is a thin line between a life, where one actually loves to travel and a life, where one tries to keep up the belief that he loves to travel, for whatsoever reason. Which side of the line I belong to - I sometimes get confused.
